Germany Tour 2018 (Rhine Valley)
The beauty about this tour is that after docking in Rotterdam you won't stay for long on motorways and square off your tyres. Just after 2.5 hours you will start enjoying the twisty roads and see places with a fairy tale scenery. Rhineland-Palatinate is an amazing and picturesque state, conveniently located in western Germany.
It is a fantastic oportunity for riders who may have not been on the continent before and for those who do not want to cover long distances daily. It's a great introduction to a serious motorcycle touring, but be aware, it's addictive!
This tour will also allow you to leave the luggage behind sometimes. How? We're going to leave it at our base, at the hart of Rhineland-Palatinate, and ride out every day to discover more and more of amazing roads for bikers.
It's a guided tour but if you prefer to ride more independently please let us know and we will prepare for you all detailed itineraries and places to visit.
Tour Itinerary
Friday 22th June Today each of us will make their way to the departure port of your choice to catch either the P&O Hull-Rotterdam or the Stena Harwich to Rotterdam overnight ferry. An en-suite cabin (for 2) is included in your crossing. For those wishing to use the Eurotunnel instead of a ferry please see Travel Choice below.
Saturday 23th June (230 miles) Because the tour is based on the two ferries with the Harwitch ferry docking in Hook of Holland and Hull ferry docking in Europort Rotterdam, we all meet up just a short ride from both ports where we start our tour as one group. Traveling south east we cover 175 miles on motorways (2.5 hrs) before we turn into more scenic country roads. Continuing further south, along some great roads, for another 60 miles we land in our base for the night with plenty of time to relax.
Sunday 24th - Wednesday 28th June (120-150 miles daily) For those days we're going to ride many of great roads making stops every 50-70 miles. These daily trips are organised for the best balance of riding to break time to make them pleasurable and comfortable leaving plenty of time for the evening meals and your own time.
Thursday 28th June (220 miles) We head back north to catch our ferries from Rotterdam.
Friday 29st June Arriving in UK we make our way home.
