I bought a 2001 VFR800FI after selling my 1200 Bandit, I needed another bike as my son had passed his test and wanted to ride together. At first I was not sure I had bought the right bike but after five years I grew to love it more and more. Fast, reliable and sounded good with a micron high level can. The only problem was voltage reg. which I modified (end of problems). Traded it in against a 2005 Speedtriple (that's another story)
