I've got a 1998 vfr800 fi,I have to say it's a cracking all round machine,it seems to do everything well,it's fast enough,comfortable enough, handles well enough and I think the combined brakes are great,I love the fact it has gear driven cams, it does everything I want it to do and it is a lot of bike for £1200 with 23000 miles on it. I've owned almost 40 bikes in my life, I'm now almost 60 years old and this is right up there with the best of them, if your after a cheap well made bike that will serve you well and take you anywhere as fast as you like then you have to consider these bikes right up the top of the list in my opinion.
