Best Bike Ever !

I've been riding the 2015 Yamaha FJR1300 for two years almost daily as a commuter and on weekends for road trips. Never once been stranded or had the slightest malfunction. It's powerful and nimble and rides like it's part of you. The gas mileage is definitely a plus with up to 52 mpg on the highway at cruising speed. The electronic cruise control is a real blessing. The LED display is programmable to your liking and easily changed to suit your needs. The electrically adjustable windshield is reliable and has never failed me. I added the GIVI panier and have plenty of room to store my helmet as well as my passenger's helmet. The saddlebags are easily removed and easily installed, making road trips a cinch. The one check in the minus column would be that engine heat. In Texas on a hot Summer afternoon it's commonly 100+ degrees. So when that cooling fan kicks on, a very hot stream of air shots out right at your ankles ! They really need to find a way to re-route that air flow. Maintenance is pretty straight forward. It literally takes a few minutes to service the shaft drive. Oil changes and air filter changes are slightly cumbersome due to the parts of the faring that have to be removed, and the same goes for the engine coolant change. But these aren't things you do very often, so it's not like it's a real inconvenience. Mostly, you just put gas in it and ride it. With a smile on your face.
